Blood Donation: Your Gift, Their Lifeline – Elken Vietnam’s Journey” 2024

The humanitarian blood donation event “Your Gift, Their Lifeline” in 2023 took place at the main headquarters of Elken Vietnam Office in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of January 25th, organized in collaboration with the Hematology Institute by Elken Vietnam Company providing the venue. The event received active participation from the community, customers, employees, and distributors of Elken. The event concluded with a significant amount of blood units collected, marking an important step in meeting the increasing demand for blood.

Elken Vietnam not only sponsors but also plays a leading role in organizing the program. Mr. Chong Meng Tar, the General Director of Elken Vietnam, shares: “We take pride in participating in this collective effort to support those in need of blood. Every drop of blood donated is a new ray of hope, and we believe these drops will serve as a significant source of encouragement for individuals who have, are, and will need assistance during challenging times.”

Not only as a venue sponsor, but Elken Vietnam also actively engages in community education about the blood donation process and the importance of the program to society. A team of doctors and experts from the Hematology Institute wholeheartedly shared knowledge about the safe blood donation process, emphasizing the crucial role of everyone in maintaining a stable blood supply for hospitals and healthcare centers.

After a successful blood donation, participants will receive 5 packs of milk, chocopine cakes, sugar, calligraphy letters handcrafted by artists from the Blood Institute, and 1 box of cereal from Elken Vietnam.
The Hematology Institute guided the standard preparation steps for pre-donation medical examination.

Donating blood to save lives during the Tet holiday is a cultural tradition, especially significant in the period leading up to Tet. Blood banks will require a substantial amount of blood to support medical treatments at hospitals during this year’s Lunar New Year.

With the desire to contribute to building a positive spirit, spreading sharing and love before the New Year, blood donation activities have become one of the meaningful volunteer activities, making positive contributions to community health.
